Boil water advisory lifted for residential area of Dunbar in Kanawha County

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (Nov. 10, 2008) – West Virginia American Water has lifted a boil water advisory for customers in the Dunbar area of Kanawha County. The affected areas included Japonica Lane, Juniper Lane, Woodrum Lane, Victoria Road, Slaughter Drive, Primrose Lane and the 4400 block of Washington Street.

The advisory was issued Sunday after a water main break caused a water service disruption.

Results of water quality testing have confirmed that water quality meets drinking water standards, and there is no further need to boil water prior to consumption. West Virginia American Water thanks its customers for their patience and cooperation during this event. Customers are encouraged to share this information with other West Virginia American Water customers in the affected area listed above.
